Universal checklist — wherever you are
The basics recruiters keep asking for.
Make it easy to match you
- State your location and availability up front — city, remote/on-site, and the date you can start. Recruiters in our community said this is the first thing they need.
- Write a one-line headline: role + seniority + key skill (e.g. "Senior Data Engineer · GCP · available January").
- Keep one CV per target role, not one CV for everything.
- Mention your languages and work authorisation clearly — "French native, English fluent" opens doors well beyond France.
Use your network well
- Ask for introductions, not "jobs" — a named contact at a named company.
- Join the professional communities for your country and field (see the lists above).
- Turn on "Open to work" for recruiters only if you're employed; publicly if you're not.
- Follow up once, politely, after a week.
Stay safe
- Never pay to apply for a job.
- Be careful with commission-only offers — read the terms before you commit time.
- Don't send ID documents or bank details before you have a signed offer.
- Verify the recruiter: company domain email, real company page.
Are you hiring?
We receive many requests from candidates in France, Israel, the US and beyond — and we want more companies on the other side.
Tell us which profiles you're looking for. Please include:
- Role(s) and seniority
- Location / remote policy
- Start date
- Languages required
Do you run a job community?
Many community leaders — for seniors, engineers, freelancers, students and French speakers abroad — offered to join forces. If you run a group, association or job board, get in touch so we can list it here and connect candidates to you.
